This katsina doll is carved by Brent Brokeshoulder from Hotevilla.
He is 10" tall and 12" tall overall.
It is unsigned, but the original tag from a pawn shop in Gallup shows that Brent carved him.
Tonaylili (small river), the uncle who dances on the side of the Navajo katsinam. He makes arm gestures and hand motions to echo the meaning of the song. The Navajo katsinam are Kwivikatsinam which means “fancy” dressed.
